I didn't delete my old ones but I did take the time to update and reset any plugins before Save as New Template and then gave it a new name so as not to be tempted to launch the old ones. Try starting a project from the Empty Document template and see if it makes a difference. I had to delete them and start from scratch. Simply saving them in the new version of DP wasn't enough. (Mixbus is currently on sale for 20 bux)Īlso, I was having a lot of trouble until I rebuilt my templates. Can you use a different DAW that works for tracking and DP for editing and overdubs? Is DP choking on playback as well? Maybe you'll have to learn to love PT or Logic.

I'd even throw in a USB3 PCI card and put the drive on it and see if that makes a difference. Try the recording drive on different ports. try formatting a drive you're recording to with a different file system. Try creating another new user and record in that account.
